SBML is an artist management company and a creative business consultancy.

Formed in the mid eighties, the dominant business activity was initially connected with popular music. The most successful artist managed at that time was Colin Vearncombe, PKA BLACK .

Black was extremely successful during the late eighties, selling more than two million albums worldwide. Since turning independent in 1992, Colin has continued to write and record his own unique blend of uncompromising lyrics and sophisticated melodic composition which he performs with a voice of majestic beauty.

In 1991, Steve Baker co-founded the London based creative group tomato and was the group managing director until the end of 2003.

Karen Rainford now manages the day to day activity of Colin’s record label; Nero Schwarz and his recording and performing career. Steve maintains a strategic role in Colin’s career and, along with many other things, has been advising the Sapporo City Government in Hokkaido, Japan regarding a long term project to stimulate creative economic activity and to develop an international creative centre project esin .
